Fingerpaint Pony Farm is located about 20 miles East of Colorado
Springs, CO.  We moved here after Bill's retirement in 2003.
We began with horses, Judy's life long dream, but discovered
the joy of ponies after purchasing two rescued grade pony fillies.
We were hooked!  Sugar and Spice have gone on to be wonderful
riding ponies.  We have 22 grandchildren, from 1 to 22 years of
age: the older ones ride the horses, the younger ones ride the
ponies.  It wasn't long before we decided that we would like to
breed and raise Shetland ponies.  Ponies are fun, cute, clever,
loving, and a general delight.  They are excellent for young,
beginning riders.

In 2006 we purchased our Classic & Foundation breeding stock
from Platte Ridge Farm in Minnesota and Bellevue Farm in Iowa.
These ponies were chosen because of their excellent pedigrees, good dispositions, and show potential.  With the
addition of two locally purchased registered Shetlands we were in business.  Spring 2007 brought us four
beautiful foals.

Fingerpaint Pony Farm desires to have pretty ponies for riding, for show, for loving and for fun.  Since most
breeders in Colorado prefer the Miniature Horses we are one of the few Shetland Pony farms.  We plan for our
small farm in Eastern Colorado to fill a need for another Shetland breeder.  Have a look at our mares, weanlings,
and stud.  We think you will like what you see!  Spring and Summer 2007 brought not only new foals but more pony
purchases.  Keep an eye on our website to see the new additions!
Our beautiful view of Pikes Peak!
