Bugs is an absolutely adorable little donkey jack. Born
without a fearful bone in his body, he is highly social and
actively seeks out human companionship, even to the
exclusion of his mother. Extremely gentle, handled daily.
He hasn't been formally taught to lead yet because
there's no need - he's on our heels everywhere we go!
He will go in, over, through, or between anything. Would
love to come in the house although I hesitate to start
that!
His eyes are blue at present, but I anticipate they will change to a pale amber or light brown in
time. Bug's eye rims are vivid black and he has the absolute sweetest expression. He has light
roaning over his topline and dark tips on his ears, much like points on a siamese cat. He thinks
being brushed is heavenly and a good back massage is just almost as good. Likes the cats,
chickens, and horses just fine.
At two weeks old he is nibbling hay and his mother's grain and gaining weight well. We can
handle all his feet, ears, mouth, tail, etc without him being tied or secured in any way. We
anticipate him to mature to approximately nine to ten hands high, possibly a little smaller. Bugs
has an upright neck, excellent expression, good ear set, and nice topline. His disposition is
second to none and we are looking for a special person or family for him where he will receive
lots of human attention. He currently resides in the barn and thinks stall life is the bomb - a
nice hay nest to recline on and a fan suit him to a T.
Handsome little Bugs will be available upon weaning in November or December and he will lead,
load, stand tied, and stand for hoof trims at that time. He will be up to date on worming, hoof
trims, and tetanus vaccination. This gentle and loving baby would make a perfect companion for
someone with his small size and great personality. A deposit will hold him until he is weaned.
Please note that we are seeking a special pet home for him where he will receive lots of personal
attention.
A $50 deposit will hold him until weaning, and if purchased as a Christmas gift there will be no
boarding fees prior to January 1st. Delivery possible for mileage fee within 100 mile radius.
