BERRY'D IN CHOCOLATE
TWHBEA #20701981
Brown Stallion
d.o.b. 4-29-07
Sire: I'm Your Gold Huckleberry
Dam: Bandit's Belle Starr
"Hershey" was a delight right from the start. His
pedigree reflects some of our favorite genetics,
and with obvious good reason. Take a look at his
conformation - simply put, he's beautiful. Very
correct and with a can-do attitude and gait that
made him a natural choice for proud new owner
Stephen Hampton.
Hershey's dam is a full sister to our own Judge's
Criminal Justice, and sired by a son of Royal Ivory.
His pedigree incudes such notables as Alen's Belfast Bandit, The Call Judge, Mack K's
Handshaker and Spotted Alen Again. In theory this genetic blend was felt to be good. In
actuality it's even better than anticipated. Always a joy when that happens. :)
Hershey was shown in Marshall, Texas in weanling halter class and he, along with two other
foals from our program, collected the first through third place ribbons. I believe there were at
least 7 or 8 in the class. Hershey's next show (and his first under Stephen Hampton's
ownership) was as a yearling in halter competition in Athens, Texas. A double judged show, he
tied first and third under respected judges Adam Hall and Marilynne McLeod. We were
delighted! I believe there were approximately ten in the class.
Stephen has continued to work with Hershey using natural horsemanship methods. Taking his
training along slowly Hershey has thrived under his care and is doing exceptionally well. Hats
off to both Stephen and Hershey - you are a great team!
Check back often as this page will be updated with video, news, and photos of Hershey and
Stephen!
