| At Black Birch Ranch we breed a very small number of mares each year using both our own stallion(s) and outside stallions. We select our stallions based on conformation and an excellent, family friendly disposition. Our boys will make excellent geldings and many have gone on to be just that after a year or two as a herdsire! |

| Hopwood's AG Hopscotch 2009 Perlino Tobiano Foundation Shetland Stallion ASPC 161284 Foaled May 1, 2010 Hopscotch is a very personable pocket pony with such a winning personality that Scribe has welcomed him as his personal companion for the winter--they exercise each other and share everything--shelter, hay, water, salt block and attention. In 2012 Hopscotch will have his first test breeding and we will see which set of genetics he likes to give us--either buckskins or palominos and whether or not he will share his one Tobiano gene. His foals will hopefully resemble him--his foal picture is cute. Next spring when he sheds out we will add an adult photo of him. |
